Joeri Minnen is the business owner within hbits. He has a long history and expertise in the domain of fundamental methodological research as researcher and project leader at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel, Research Group TOR.

He was the coordinator of the HERCULES-project ‘MOTUS’ (Infrastructure for Continuous Modular Online Time-Use Survey) which was the project that started the development of the MOTUS-software. Until today he is very active in the further updates of MOTUS as a software platform. The establishment of the spin-off hbits has been made possible through funding of Innoviris.
